I've setup tavi on localhost (i.e. My PC running WinXP with Apache & PHP & MySQL) to look for how to install and to use Tavi with FreeLink and UTF-8 support. The UTF-8 function runs smoothly (i.e. not causing real problem) but the "diff" on Windows has a reallly big problem:

PaH: "Compute difference" on WIn32 now ( a cmd/command-line-window ... Problem: diff is not return/import to/into Tavi, am I wrong?)

I just read the answer to your probblem. It would be nice if you posted any solution on ie. TaviOnWindows. I've had some difficulties when I have tested something and then later noticed it concerned a different version :) One Idea might be: Putting alle the links to diff-utils on one page. Look on PaH where I have collected some. And by the way tnx for showing me how to create the history list :). I just had to look on RecentChanges to confirm it ;) and voila, there I learnt a new trick, cool :)

Q: I've installed the [gnuwin32 diffutil port] and Tavi shows the "View Document History" now. However, when I press the "Compute Difference" an error like this pops up:

An error of "Fatal error: Call to undefined function: action_diff() in M:\minixampp\htdocs\tavi1-cgi\lib\main.php on line 113" appears when I press the Compute Difference Button (I've install the Diff on Win32 and it works. And "M:\minixampp\" is the path of the LAMP package I run on my WinXP).

What should I do to solve the problem?

Does everything else work well? If that's the case it's strange to have this error. However I would look into the use of $DiffCmd. So try adding something along the lines of: $DiffCmd = "C:\Program files\diff.exe"; into config.php. Does that help? --EvenHolen
No, everythink else work well and I've solve the problem above (In fact, I find that the "Fatal error...on line 113" is caused by replacing the diff.php of Tavi by the diff.php of PukiWiki? (due to someone's claim that it will make diff on Win32 works). Now, I use the original diff.php in Tavi.) The last problem is that: I can use "View document history" and "Compute difference" on Win32 now ( a cmd/command-line-window will pop up when pressing either of the buttons ) , however, there is no green box and yellow box appear on the "Computer difference" page even though 2 pages are different. And therefore, I see nothing to compare the old and the current page.
